    • In general, for the alkylation reactions, NaH could also be employed as the base, generally resulting in lower yields. However, the NaH route might be of interest for synthetic organic chemists in order to avoid the more nucleophilic OH - base in the synthesis of more complex targets. Synthetic procedures leading to the ligands described above utilizing NaH are, thus, also given in the experimental.
