Hall Mammalian TOR complex 2 controls the actin cytoskeleton and is rapamycin insensitive Nat Cell Biol 6 2004 1122 1128 This study demonstrates the existence of mTORC2 which, like its homolog in yeast, controls actin organization. Interestingly, TORC2 function is rapamycin-insensitive. The authors suggest that mTORC2 signals to the actin cytoskeleton via small Rho-type GTPases.
