    • It should be noted that the two main configurations of state 6 can be transformed to the main configuration of state 5 by orbital mixing within the two FeO π*orbitals (resulting in π*orbitals rotation around Fe-O axis). So these two states should be nearly degenerate as long as the two FeO π*orbitals are isotropic around the xy plane, as confirmed by the CASPT2/MM results (see Table 2)
