The UV-vis spectra for 7a/b·4PF6 show CT bands for CBPQT4+ interaction with both the aryl donors (∼425 nm) and BPTTF ∼850 nm, We attribute the broad absorbances observed at ∼850 nm to an alongside interaction between the BPTTF station and the CBPQT4+ ring.
