    • Although data in the literature refer only to polymeric 6-carbamoylglucopyranosyl derivatives as ligands of the asialoglycoprotein receptor, a mammalian galactose/galactosamine specific lectin, we have confirmed in our laboratories that D -glucopyranosyl derivatives bearing nitrogen functionalities at positions other than O3 and O4 behave also as ligands of PNA and are sensitive to multivalency.
