    • This is the most recent metaanalysis of the most extensively studied G×E in MDD. This paper reports a significant interaction between the 5-HTTLPR and environmental adversity on the development of depression. It also suggests that interaction effects may be stronger for measures of childhood maltreatment than recent stressors and in studies using objective or interview-based measures of stressors rather than self-report questionnaires
