Note
-
On a broader front, it would also be desirable to evaluate compounds synthesized as inhibitors of ion-channels against the full panopoly of TRP channels. Such an endeavor would yield important SAR information and provide researchers with a TRP agonist and antagonist heat map. This exercise would also be valuable in providing proof-of-concept probe molecules against less well investigated TRP family members, and perhaps yield compounds that are suitable as both in vitro and in vivo tool compounds.
