    • Note that in a typical DPN experiment a molecule-coated AFM cantilever can be used not only for transporting molecules onto a substrate, but also for imaging the nanostructures in contact mode to determine whether or not the molecules have been deposited. High scan rates (>6 Hz) do not lead to appreciable ink deposition. All nanostructures were subsequently imaged separately with a Digital Instruments Multimode Nanoscope in the tapping mode.
