    • For the synthesis of pentaerythrityl azide 12:, Caution! Compounds such as poly azides/those of high nitrogen to carbon ratios are known to be explosives under various conditions such as heating, shock treatments, storage in pure form, etc. Therefore, although no incidence of any kind during the preparation and handling of any of the compounds described in this work was experienced, all such compounds must be handled with caution in fume hoods.
