    • It should be further noted that different to Fig. 3, the usual depiction of Kasha's PDA-based scheme on molecular excitons predicts larger exciton splittings for J-aggregates compared to H-aggregates. This originates from a model picture based on a fixed distance between the dipoles. In contrast, in molecular crystals, the intermolecular separations for side-by-side arrangements are much smaller than for head-to-tail arrangements
