Anti-PlGF inhibits growth of VEGF(R)-inhibitor-resistant tumors without affecting healthy vessels

This study showed that neutralising PlGF can reduce the infiltration of angiogenic macrophages in tumours, a phenomenon that is increasingly recognised as crucially important for the growth and spread of some tumours, establishing PlGF as a promising target for cancer therapy.
