    • In seeding growth methods, the presence of seeds often induce further nucleation rather than growth when the ratio of seed to metal salt is relatively small. As there is only one seed at the tip apex, it is important to avoid additional nucleation during the growth stage. CTAB is the choice for providing suitable growth conditions by inhibiting additional nucleation during the growth stage
