    • Doughnut shaped, identically looking leakage spots at very high currents, as observed in K. Kyuno, K. Kita, and A. Toriumi, Appl. Phys. Lett. 86, 063510 (2005), have been attributed to a tip-shape artifact. We exclude this explanation for our case as different individual tips were used for S5 and S7, and the partial ring pattern does not appear at all leakage spots.
