    • The contact stiffness measurement is affected by adhesion, but it can be calibrated using a measured adhesion force (refs. 31-32). The dynamic behavior of the cantilever is affected by the adhesion when the tip is pulled off the sample surface at large vibration amplitudes (ref. 31). However, this measurement uses very low vibration amplitude, where the tip does not jump off from the sample surface.
