While the size dependence of the position operator introduces an error of 13% on the permittivity of the Si region, the corresponding errors for the suboxide and the oxide regions are smaller than 3%, as we estimated by applying a sawtooth-shaped potential to a Si O2 -Si-Si O2 slab with oxide surfaces terminated by H atoms.
