    • We have successfully synthesized sulfonic acid-functionalized, water-soluble gold clusters (SFWC) from the Bunte salts of 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid. By simple acid/base titration, we have prepared new ionically associated polyelectrolytes from these gold clusters. The ionic conductivity study of these new materials in solid state and in solution phase is ongoing.
