    • In vivo expression of a TCR antagonist: T cells escape central tolerance but are antagonized in the periphery
    • of outstanding interest. This report shows that T cells recognising a peptide as an antagonist are not deleted by that peptide in the thymus but respond to it as an antagonist in the periphery. It suggests a possible role for self antagonist peptides in the control of autoimmunity.
