+ cells that can differentiate to APC, NK cells, and follicular cells but not T or B cells
-
+ cells can be identified within developing lymph node (LNs) of embryonic mide. These cells have potential to develop into natural killer (NK) cells, dendritic cells, and follicular cells that may ultimately form follicular dendritic cells. Because they can lead to so many lineages and because they express LTβ, the newly reported population of cells is a candidate to provide the embryonic LT-dependent signal that leads to the biogenesis of the LN themselves.

Lymphotoxin-α supports development of splenic follicular structure that is required for IgG responses

It also showed that the B cell dysfunction seen in these mice was plastic and that cells capable of restoring normal function were resident in either spleen or bone marrow.
