    • The discovery that an N-terminal tertiary l -amino acid induces left-handed and not the expected right-handed helicity contradicted some previous data in the literature (see ref 23) as explained in ref 20. For this reason, some of the diagrams shown in refs 11b, 17, and 18, which were published before this discrepancy came to light, illustrate helices with the wrong screw-sense.
