We did not take the fully relaxed structures of BC and NC (sp3 in nature) for spectral calculations. Since we focus on B-C-N alloys forming a two-dimensional honeycomb lattice, we considered the sp2-bonded, planar structure of BC and NC, similar to the monolayer h-BN.
