    • The higher stability of the Z conformer with respect the E conformer in phenylurea derivatives has also been ascribed to the formation of a weak hydrogen bond between the C=O group and the neighbouring ortho hydrogen of the phenyl ring. This interaction is not possible when the phenylurea adopts the E conformation, see: R. Emery, N. A. Macleod, L. C. Snoek, J. P. Simons, Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys. 2004, 6, 2816-2820.
