    • The planar chirality in the complexes is assigned R or S based on the Cahn-Ingold-Prelog configuration of the position 1 of the ligand where the metal is treated as being individually bonded to all five C-atoms of the cyclopentadienyl part of the indenyl group. The position 1 chosen is that at the carbon bearing the linker.

    • When the reaction was carried out at room temperature, the two diastereomers were obtained in equimolar amount. The isolated pure diastereomers do not interconvert when left for several days in THF-solution at room temperature, nor under reflux for several hours in THF or benzene.
