62. By looking at some of the articles written by terrorism experts, one gets the sense that they are analyzing trends linearly. In relation to Al Qaeda, analysts looked at the bombing trends of Al Qaeda but did not analyze what the escalation and advancement of their tactics meant in relation to their future capabilities.
