Increased noise level of Purkinje cell activities minimizes impact of their modulation during sensorimotor control
-
V2.1 channels in tg/tg mice leads to irregular simple spike firing pattern in floccular Purkinje cells in vivo, with functionally intact synaptic connections downstream (oculomotor pathway) and upstream (climbing fiber activities) of the cerebellar cortex. The irregular simple spike activities might explain the deficits in oculomotor performance displayed by these mice.
