    • Indeed, the polymer chains readily self-associate: when a polymer solution is precipitated into a poor solvent, the solubility of the polymer decreases. Repeating the precipitation process several times results in the formation of partially insoluble aggregates due to self-assembling of the amphiphilic chains through hydrogen-bond formation.
