    • Because the instrumental factor for clean InP was different from that for the SAMs, the intensity for clean InP was corrected. The intensity in terms of 1/cos θ was simulated using an exponential function. The exponential decay constant was changed in order to give straight lines for C16, C12, and C8. See ref 14 for a general discussion of this procedure.
