    • The cloning of the human TERT is reported, together with an analysis of the expression of TERT mRNA in various cell lines. • This paper reports the result of a kinetic analysis of the stabilities of E. aediculatus primer-telomerase complexes. The results suggest that the telomerase maintains a constant number of base pairs between the primer and template, supporting a transcription bubble model for telomeric DNA synthesis.

    • The authors employ gentle purification techniques to fractionate E. crassus macronuclear telomerase complexes. They find that the telomerase exists in complexes of different sizes and that the larger complexes are more processive than the smaller ones. Interestingly, higher order telomerase complex formation is developmentally regulated.
