ACE phenotyping as a guide toward personalized therapy with ACE inhibitors
-
As initial blood ACE level does not provide a valid prediction to effective drop in blood pressure, this study advocates the use of ACE phenotyping including ACE plasma level, activity, conformation and degree of ACE inhibition to identify resistance towards ACE inhibitors. This allows for personalized therapy and monitoring of compliance.
