    • Estimating risk of C. difficile transmission from PCR positive but cytotoxin negative cases
    • Using genetic methods, this article addresses the risk of transmission of C. difficile from cytotoxin-negative/PCR-positive stool samples. The authors found that transmission occurs with greater frequency in cytotoxinpositive/PCR- positive samples, but that cytotoxin-negative/PCRpositive samples do contribute to hospital-based transmission risks
