    • Next to allyl alcohols, homoallyl alcohols are also hydrogenated with catalyst 16, whereas a bishomoallyl alcohol was reported to be inert under comparable hydrogenation conditions (see Ref.[16]). Interestingly, propargyl alcohol 2 could be selectively hydrogenated with 16 to give the corresponding allyl alcohol under carefully controlled conditions
