    • The band structure of a graphene ribbon is same as that of a graphene sheet, except the zigzag edge state (Ref.) would be present in zigzag ribbon. However, for the tunneling process beyond the first subband in conducting or valence band, the edge state is not significant, so energy band of graphene sheet can be safely used in graphene ribbon.
