    • Using expression systems in primate cells, the authors show no apparent incompatibilities between recombinant pig TFPI and the human TF pathway. The observed thromboregulatory failure of pig endothelium and associated aberrant TF activity in xenograft rejection might be associated with TFPI posttranslational modifications in pig cells or the loss from activated endothelial cells
