    • We have estimated the probability of collisions under conditions tested as described in the literature: Armentrout, P. B. The Encyclopedia of Mass Spectrometry; Elsevier: Amsterdam, 2003; 1, pp 451-455. As obtained using a total cross-section with the p-(trifluoromethyl)benzylidene olefin complex, single collision should occur for approximately 20% of parent molecules and double collision for approximately 5, with negligible contribution from triple collisions
