    • We normalize all the spectra by the intensity of the highest peak in each one, so that we can compare their SNRs simply by comparing the height of the profiles. Therefore, one cannot see the lowering of the intensity in the temperature-dependent PL spectra (Fig. 6).

    • The excitation density will change while the pinhole size is changed, but it is very small compared with the four-order-magnitude change in Fig. 2, so we ignore its influence and only consider the change of the focused spot size. Because of the same reason, the relative intensity change of P states versus S states is also not obvious.
