    • Core transcriptional regulatory circuitry in human embryonic stem cells
    • This first genome-wide location analysis of the pluripotency transcription factors OCT4, SOX2 and NANOG in human ESCs has revealed DNA occupancy sites of Oct4, Sox2, Nanog and other pluripotent genes by these factors. It has also revealed the occupancy of these transcription factors in many development-related genes, suggesting their repressive roles in differentiation to maintain the stem cell state. This study also illustrates a powerful tool of stem cells to understand complex transcriptional networks.
