    • Overlayer energies were calculated using a harmonic approximation to the potential proposed by Girifalco [23] for nearest neighbor interactions for n × 3 structures with n = 5, 8, 11, 13, 18, 21. The energy cost per molecule to deform the overlayer to obtain the 8 × 3 and c11 × 3 supercells identified from the image were calculated to be 0.005 and 0.030 eV, respectively.
