    • 60 in each dyad is difficult. The following minimal distances between the centers of the fullerene and the outer TTF ring in ester or amide derivatives were evaluated from the in vacuo optimized structures: 6.55 Å for dyads 1a•5 and 2a•4; 7.84 Å k for dyad 3a•4; and 9.30 Å for dyad 1a•6.

    • In line with the moderate electron-transfer efficiency, also the product of the fullerene intersystem crossing, the triplet excited state with its characteristic 700 nm fingerprint is discernible. In chloroform or dichloromethane, the triplet quantum yields are, however, on the order of 30%.
