Transforming growth factor-beta induces renal epithelial Jagged1 expression in fibrotic disease
-
Morrissey J, Guo G, Moridaira K, et al. Transforming growth factor-beta induces renal epithelial Jagged1 expression in fibrotic disease. J Am Soc Nephrol 2002; 13:1499-1508. The author's approach was first to look for genes whose expression was influenced by TGF-β1 in vitro using array technology. The most impressive finding was that the TGF-β1 effect on Jagged1 expression could also be repeated in an animal model.
