71. PM3 is known to give poor results for nitrogen containing systems because of overestimated charges and pyramidalization at the nitrogen atoms.
72. In all cases the geometries and subsequently the orbitals are calculated at the UHF level, accounting for the occurrence of unpaired electrons yielding α- and β-orbitals. Only the α-orbitals are depicted. For the dications, in all cases UHF yield lower heat of formation compared to RHF.
