This is a detailed study of quantum and diffusive transport in magnetic 2DEGs. It essentially demonstrates the creation of a highly spin-polarized 2DEG at large Landau level filling factors and also addresses the anomalous background MR in these systems using quantum correction theories.

This paper demonstrates the role of holes in mediating a ferromagnetic exchange coupling in (In,Mn)As through the observation of a persistent ferromagnetism created by optically excited holes. It also raises the interesting prospect of optical control of spin properties in hybrid ferromagnet/semiconductor heterostructures.
