    • 2-biotin on MPTMS-functionalized glass coverslips with varying amounts of Tween-20 (0.005-0.1%), followed by incubation with Cy3-streptavidin. Integration of the resultant fluorescence intensities showed that the inclusion of surfactant in this range of concentrations did not affect the binding of the maleimide to the thiol groups on the surface.
