    • The maxima of the reflectivity interference spectrum are described by the Fabry-Perot equation, mλ=2 nL (with m an integer, L=thickness of the film, n=average refractive index of the film, and λ=wavelength of incident light). The product 2 nL refers to the effective optical thickness of the film; the refractive index is a composite value of the refractive index of the pSi film and the refractive index of the media confined within its pores.
