Outcome of status epilepticus in children treated in the intensive care unit: A study of 302 cases
-
21269297 This prospective observational study included 302 children with 489 episodes of SE. It found neurologic consequences in 39 patients (12.9%) and a case-fatality ratio of 9.3%. Etiology of SE and prior neurologic abnormalities predicted mortality, and younger age, etiology, and very long duration of SE predicted morbidity.
