    • From the phage titer, the stock concentration of phages is determined in plaque-forming-units (pfu)/mL. Because one phage is needed to produce a single pfu, the concentration of phages in mol/L can be deduced from pfu/mL by conversion to pfu/L and division by Avogadro's number.; Cold Spring Harbor: Plainview, NY.
