    • The fluorescent signal increased almost lineally with the amine concentration and reached the constant value. When the amine was in excess, the fluorescence signal was not changed under the conditions. For details, see Figure S1 in the Supporting Information.

    • The sensitivities of TPEs to the amines were dependent on the media used. Therefore, the assay 1 was done in dichloromethane and the assays 2 and 3 were examined in dichloromethane/hexane (v/v 1:1). However, the assays did not work in water due to their solubilities. The details are presented in Figure S2 in the Supporting Information.
