    • This deprotection step proved to be more difficult than expected requiring constant reaction monitoring using HPLC. Standard deprotection conditions with trifluoroacetic acid as well as hydrochloric acid at room temperature were insufficient to cleave all protecting groups within a reasonable time (46h). Finally, a trifluoroacetic/hydrochloric acid mixture proved to be most efficient to ensure complete deprotection of all precursors within 24h at room temperature.
