    • + T cell memory during persistent Trypanosoma cruzi infection
    • + T cells throughout T. cruzi infection in mice have the phenotype of stable, central memory T cells-despite the persistence of parasites and antigen in this chronic infection. In addition to expressing Tcm phenotype markers, these T cells are antigen independent and respond robustly to re-exposure to parasites, showing that stable T cell memory can develop in the presence of antigen persistence.
