    • Distribution of squid paralarvae, Loligo opalescens (Cephalopoda, Myopsida), in the southern California Bight in the three years following the 1997-98 El Niño
    • Mattias Johansson is a PhD student at Oregon State University and uses molecular tools to study population genetics and speciation in marine fishes, particularly in rockfishes of the genus Sebastes. Michael Banks, his staff and students use genetics to learn about how, when and where salmon and other marine fishes associate, migrate and spawn. Results help fishermen and government agencies protect and sustain fisheries and better understand, manage and conserve population processes. Katey Glunt was an undergraduate at the time of this project, and is now a PhD student interested in using genetic markers to study zoonotic disease ecology. Heather Hassel-Finnegan was an undergraduate at the time of this project, and is now a PhD student interested in the behaviour and ecology of non-human primates. Vince Buonaccorsi is an Associate Professor of Biology at Juniata College and is interested in the evolutionary genetics of fish and wildlife.
