    • Complete removal of excess cys-peptide 7a will prevent NCL with the peptide-α-thioester 10a in the second ligation step. Moreover, earlier studies indicated (see ref.[30]) that the separation of the ligation product of the two peptides from the target peptide-PNA-peptide can be rather laborious.
