    • These currents and the dimensions of the channel correspond to resistivity of 45-58 Ωcm, and these values are close to the theoretical value of 78 Ωcm for 0.1 M KCl solution. In this calculation, we assume the voltage drop across the pore to be 0.67 of the voltage applied at the electrodes.

    • Since the mobility of potassium ions in the accumulated channel is known and can be expected to be 3-4x lower that the bulk mobility, the calculated accumulation current can range from ∼28 to 84 pA. Since the blocking current was calculated to be about 19 pA lower than the baseline, the total current could range from 9 to 65 pA. The value of mobility will be independently measured in future experiments.
